The time has come for the celebration of the winter solstice, one of the most important traditions for the Viking. Come Tuesday the 21st, we decorate the great world tree Yggdrasil, and drink toasts to our friends and kin. And by night fall we gather around the stones and blot to our dead ones like so many times before. For those of you who have started the Yule celebrations around the 13th of December you have my utmost respect! (This was the approximate date of the winter solstice according to the Julian calendar before the year 1753 in Sweden). Continuing the ancient tradition of our forefathers, we now light the Yule fires on the 21st. Raise your horns and goblets and blot to those alike, and to prosperity in the coming year! Hail Odin! Hail Thor! It is MIDVINTERBLOT!

Have an amazing Yule season!
